Leaders Award
NFL 5-on-5 Flag Football is the game that is proving to be great fun for people of all ages interested in playing American Football. Whether a novice at Primary school or a seasoned vet looking for a runabout Flag offers all the thrills and skills of the real game.
The game is proving to be a great seed for starting children on their way in the sport but needs more and more enthusiastic coaches and Team leaders. The Leader's Award is the first stage in the Coaches Education Programme produced by the British American Football Coaches Association and is NCF ratified. It is a daylong course based on fun games-based practical sessions and assessment stages and revolves around the game of NFL 5-on-5 Flag Football.
The course is FREE and follow-up resources are available for use within a youth Flag programme e.g. School, Youth group etc. There are now hundreds of qualified Leaders all over the country and the numbers continue to grow. There are more and more opportunities arising for Paid Flag coaching with Local Authorities and the Claymores are always looking to add to their list of trusted coaches to this end.
