The governing body of amateur American football in Scotland, the Scottish Gridiron Association (SGA) has recently taken on a more proactive role in the management of organised 5on5 flag football in Scotland. A committee to oversee the games competitive action was recently elected. The Scottish Flag Football Association (SFFA) intends to run a tournament based summer league from April to September. These tournaments will cater for all age groups and abilities and teams will have the opportunity to play each other for the right to make a playoff system at the end of the summer.
