Enters seventh season in NFL Europe. It’s his first season with the Claymores, but he spent two years in Spain with the Dragons and served as defensive coordinator for the Frankfurt Galaxy and had previously been a defensive coach for the Kansas City Chiefs in the mid-1980s.

Won a World Bowl ring with Frankfurt in 1999 against the Dragons and won four successive Grey Cups with the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL between 1978 and 1981. In his first season coaching the Galaxy defensive backs he tutored a group that led the league with 15 interceptions in 1998 and ultimately helped qualify for World Bowl '98.

Also coached Calgary, Saskatchewan, Ottowa and Shreeveport in the CFL. In addition to his professional coaching career, he spent 16 years in the college ranks guiding the fortunes of division I-AA universities Wyoming, Houston and the US Naval Academy.
