PRO CAREER: Signed by the Chicago Bears as a rookie free agent on June 10, 2002… Waived by the Bears at the conclusion of their training camp on August 25, 2002 but re-signed in 2003 and allocated to NFL Europe.
COLLEGE: A four-year starter at Akron who was recognized as one of the top pass blockers in the Mid-American Conference… Started the final 38 games of his career at right tackle, including all 11 contests of his senior campaign… A keen weightlifter, he earned the Zips' Lifter of the Year Award in 2001… Won Akron's Most Valuable Lineman Award after helping to lead the team to a school-record 417.2 yards per game in his junior season, starting all 11 games… Was the starter in all 11 games of his sophomore year… Started the final five games of the season in 1998 as a redshirt freshman.
PERSONAL: Earned first team all-league honors as a senior at Parma Holy Name High School in North Olmstead, Ohio... Was selected to the All-Cuyahoga County team by the Cleveland Plain Dealer… His brother, Mike, was his back-up at Akron during his senior season… Majored in accounting at Akron.
