PRO CAREER: Originally signed by the Chicago Bears as a free agent on April 21, 2002… Waived by the Bears at the conclusion of their training camp on August 31, 2002… Signed to the Bears practice squad on September 2, 2002… Released from Chicago's practice squad on October 1, 2002… Re-signed to the Bears' practice squad on October 15, 2002… Placed on the practice squad/injured list on October 30, 2002 after suffering an ankle injury.
COLLEGE: Amassed 2,207 yards on 125 receptions and a school-record 18 touchdowns in his two seasons at San Jose State… Named second-team All-Western Athletic Conference after setting SJSU single-season records with 83 catches, 1,500 receiving yards and 14 receiving touchdowns in his 12 starts as a senior… Twice topped the previous school standard for receiving yards in a game with 269 vs. Nevada on September 22, 2001 and 264 vs. Fresno State on November 23, 2001… Transferred to San Jose State after playing his first two seasons at West Los Angeles College.
PERSONAL: Lettered in football, track and field and tennis at Dorsey High School in his hometown of Los Angeles, California… An outstanding prep triple jumper, he posted a personal best of 49 feet, 2¾ inches.
